We’re All Colored

A black man walks up to the front door of a theater and hands the man selling tickets money.

“Sir,  you can’t come here.”  Says the white man sternly.

“And why is that?”  Asks the black man.

“Read the sign.”  He points over to a sign that has bold black writing.  It says:

“Why should i not be allowed to go in here if you’re able to?”  Asks the black man innocently.

“Because I’m not colored.”  He replies with a chuckle.

“You’re just as colored as me.  When you’re sad you’re blue, when you’re scared your pail, when you’re sick you’re green, when you have a sunburn you’re red, and when you’re embarrassed your pink.  Don’t tell me that you’re not colored.”  Says the black man with pride.  The white man stands frozen with shock.

He takes the black man’s money and gives him his ticket.
